New road layouts in the town centre, development of the former indoor market and the possible relocation of the Littlehampton Swimming and Sports Centre from the seafront into the town centre are all up for discussion as part of the consultation exercise. Littlehampton Town Mayor, Malcolm Belchamber chairs the TCAG and he says, “Over the last six years, Littlehampton has undergone something of a renaissance with the redevelopment of the East Bank injecting new life into a crucial area of the town. “The Littlehampton Vision is trying to build on the enthusiasm and opportunities which already exist among local people to create a shared vision for the town and which builds on our success to date and is supported by local residents, the business community, local authorities and organisations with an interest in Littlehampton. “Our proposals have been drawn up through a series of meetings with key stakeholders and local people and they are exciting and sometimes radical. It is vital that residents take this opportunity to see for themselves some of the ideas on the table and decide which ones or indeed which others they would like to see turned into reality,” said Mr Belchamber.
